Frangipani is one of the best western style restaurants in the region. It is pricey but Chris Bauer's cooking is special. He is NOT pompous but possibly a shy genius and like all geniuses needs to be handled right. The Bar upstairs is basically deserted until very late and attracts its own special crowd. The main attraction is the food downstairs. Service can be patchy.

Delicious food
Went to this restaurant in Nov 2008. Quite simply food is overrated, over priced and the chef is pompous. We even found a hair in our food, the chef claimed it was from a pastry brush ! - the hair was black.

Frangipani is possibly one of the best restaurants in KL. The food is good, ambiance fantastic and people gorgeous. The bar upstairs is chic and sophisticated and the cocktails are to die for.
