If you're looking for ambience, Frangipani is the height of sophistication. With a skylight above the poolside tables, this is the place to see and to be seen. Try their house specialties and home-made ice cream. After dinner, head upstairs to the bar, but sip your cocktail slowly, the elegance of Frangipani does not come cheap. But if authentic French cuisine is what you wish to taste then this place certainly is second to none.

Best in KL?
Frangipani is one of the best western style restaurants in the region. It is pricey but Chris Bauer's cooking is special. He is NOT pompous but possibly a shy genius and like all geniuses needs to be handled right. The Bar upstairs is basically deserted until very late and attracts its own special crowd. The main attraction is the food downstairs. Service can be patchy.
