This restaurant, occupying one floor of an 1864 sandstone building that was originally a sailor's home, offers two eating experiences. The restaurant is a formal yet relaxed dining area, offering some more unusal Thai dishes for those who enjoy an adventure in food. Try Crab and Beansprout Omelette or Squid and Pork in Coconut Cream. Bookings are essential. Alternatively you can just turn up and eat at one of the long communal tables in the canteen. Both the cantina and the restaurant are great
We tried both the cantina and the main restaurant while we were in Sydney, and both were excellent! The menus had plenty of interesting options. The food was a bit slow to arrive at the cantina, but the opposite was true at the restaurant. We arrived just before closing at the restaurant, but the staff was very friendly and the service was great. This is definitely the best Thai food I've had anywhere.
