As you enter Freeman's Bay at English Harbour, feast your eyes on the stone forts at Berkeley and Shirley Heights, then the impressive Georgian architecture of Nelson's Dockyard. Go stern-to at the massive stone quay and admire how this structural example of brilliant engineering was concocted a few hundred years ago. Within the beautiful, restored buildings you'll find many shops, a pharmacy, a bakery and several restaurants and bars. There is also a museum filled with Georgian artifacts—if you are lucky, you might see Desmond Nicholson, Antigua's foremost historian. Nelson's Dockyard is an official Port of Entry.
