Back to Santa Monica Pier Fun evening in LA! The Santa Monica Pier is a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. There are some rides, a beautiful carosel, and the thrill of walking out over the pacific ocean, looking back at the California coastline.
Reviewed by: Ilene T from on Sep 22 2008 An awsome place to be! My family was bored so we paced our van up and headed for the pier. Awsome place, love the roller coaster and the sea dragon also the scrambler. Food is good and neat. Nice service and hospitality. I definetly reccomand this to anyone.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 28 2007 Just like the movies!!! I had seen this pier in movies for so many years that when I actually saw it in person it made every movie come to life!!! It is such a great place to visit, the excitement, the scenery, the beautiful beach. I think the ambiance of the whole area is worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

Reviewed by: Karri from on Sep 04 2007 Wonderful times in the sun! I spent 10 days traveling through southern California and besides whale watching, Santa Monica Pier was definately the best part of my trip. The little shops are full of neat keepsakes, and the local artists are amazing! I even got to watch a boy reel in a giant horseshoe crab out of the shimmering ocean. While riding the rollercoaster I felt as though I was in a scene from a book. When we left the pier, we walked along the boardwalk and spent time watching the locals on the gymnist bars and rings. If you are looking to have a wonderful afternoon in sunny California this is the place to go!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 30 2007 great visit Fun to look around and people watch. Games and rides if you’re interested. A great place to walk along the beach, foot showers –always a plus when traveling. The beach is nice but the water is too cold for my southern style. You have to pay for parking but plenty to do for free if you want to walk around or do the beach thing.
Reviewed by: South Carolina Tourist from on Jul 24 2007 Love it I love Santa Monica Pier, you can see some interesting things in there ;-) it is not as cool as Chicago Navy Pier but still it is a great place to just chill and walk around

Reviewed by: dejan from on Aug 16 2006 I wont be going back I lived in Santa Monica for 1 month between June 30th untill the end of July.As I just turned 21 I wanted to go partying but there is little of that here as everywhere not only in Santa Monica but all of Cali closes at 1.30.Weekends in Santa Monica were acceptional.Lots of people from the outer suburbs would come into Santa Monica to visit the beach they have here. The weather is some what weird. As I am Irish I thought California weather would be perfect, well not in Santa Monica. Most of the time it would be over cast and never that hot. What I would recommend is renting out mopeds. There was 3 of us in a group and we got to see alot of not only Santa Monica but alot of the Californian coast between Malibu to Hermosa.Plus the girls loved it.Don't be discouraged when you see people in there big fancy cars.At traffic lights these people would ask us where we got them and were jelous of how much fun we were having weaving in and out of traffic.
