Back to Sandals Royal Caribbean What a joke!!!! Well... Let me tell you don't waste your money!!! We had a oceanfront room (sounds nice huh) not so much! Ran down mold and stains on the floor and walls. You could see light coming from outside around the doors and windows!!! Room was just nasty. Went to the front desk and they said there was nothing else that, was the best they had. They only thing they had left was lower than what we had. So we went to go eat. Well you can't do that unless you have reservations. And they where booked. But you could see open tables. But the map they gave didn't tell you about all the reservations thing, The only place you needed reservation was the other restaurant Royal Thai. Back to the front desk very rude manager told us that we could go to Cricketeer (Pub bar they always send you when there is a problem We got to go alot!!) Was downgraded because we didn't have a butler. We couldn't get are fridge stocked in the room. Called alot never happened. Front desk said they would call someone and tell them. That She would not do that! Staff was really rude.. The day before we left went to the front desk to find out what time the bus would be the to pick us up. Front desk said they would put it under the door. 1 hour later we get they paper that tell us to go to front desk to find out the information. After dinner that night we went to the photo shop to buys some pics. Front desk lost my Credit card on file and wouldn't let us charge 20 dollars to the room. They made a big deal out of it in the photo shop infront of other people very embarrassing. The next morning we just wanted out of there. We left the resort 3 hours early and sat in the airport. Do not waste your money! This was the worst resort we have ever been in.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 25 2009 Total Disappointment Just got back last week from our honeymoon at the Sandals Royal Caribbean. Though the rooms were top notch and the food was great when you could get it, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is slow and uncaring. We had a Butler when we stayed there, I’m not sure why, as they did next to nothing for us. I had prebooked the seafood cruise and they even managed to screw that up on us by telling us to wait at the wrong place for the boat at the wrong time, then tried to return the blame to us. Upon their screw up for us missing dinner one would think that they would offer to make reservations for us at one of their restaurants, wrong again, we waited in the Cricketers Pub for an hour for some appetizers. Later we returned to our room and ordered room service which never showed up. Expect to wait up to 10 minutes at any one of their bars for drinks and if you are a smoker and would like an ashtray good luck getting that too. I could go on but please know it was a big disappointment and I would check out other places. My recommendations to “Butch” would be to allow tipping perhaps the lousy service would improve. I will never stay at another Sandals again; there are way too many other all inclusive choices out there that offer better service for your dollar!
Reviewed by: Jessica from on Apr 02 2009 It was a bit of a let down. My husband and I had never been to an all inclusive, but our neighbors raved about this Sandals so much, (although they had not been back for 5 years), we thought we'd try it. We booked a 5 day, 4 night stay. It is definitely a plus to be so close to the airport, despite the noisy planes overhead. Another positive is the grounds, well-swept walkways and beautiful shrubs and flowers. Our check-in went smoothly and fairly quickly.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 16 2009 Sandals Customer Service? I recently made a reservation through Sandals phone reservations for the Royal Carribbean property. Despite my status in the Sandals Select program, my wife and I will never return to a Sandals resort. I feel it is important to let others know about the Sandals "service", so that you don't make the same mistake I did.
Reviewed by: Kurt from on Dec 05 2008 will definitely be going back I've seen lots of reviews stating negative comments about this resort, understand you are not in the US, wish people in the US were as friendly as in Jamaica. My wife and I had a blast and will be going back. Well worth the money. Stayed 7 days and got married for 3500 dollars all in-clusive.

Reviewed by: dave w from on May 11 2008 A Strive for Perfection! Upon our arrival to the airport, Sandals was there to make our trip stress-free. Our luggage was taken to the bus, we were given complimentary drinks, and were guided to our hotel. Once at the hotel, we mentioned that we had just recently been engaged, and were provided with an upgrade into a beachfront honeymoon suite. Who could ask for more? The beaches were beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and there were two mirrors to allow my fiance and I the opportunity to get ready for dinner simultaneously. As far as suntanning goes, we found that the private island was the place to go! No one was over there. We assumed it was because of the "clothing-optional" connotation. The front side of the island (facing the resort) is not clothing-optional, and we often had the whole beach to ourselves!! The bartender over at that swim-up bar was superb! So friendly and fun!
