Diego de Henriquez was an eccentric professor from Trieste whose hobby was collecting all kinds of war items. It is incredible what this man managed to find, including an enormous quantity of arms and objects that has now become a war museum dedicated to peace, one of the most important in Italy. Part of his collection was destroyed in a fire that also killed Henriquez. As the collection is so large, it has been difficult to find a location for many years, especially because of the large items such as a second world war submarine and a tank. There is an exceptional variety of material, including paintings, uniforms, flags, models, arms, technical designs and maps. Today the collection has found a permanent and suitable home.
