Back to Boccaccio (Le) our worst experience in Nice The food would certainly please Gargantua, but not gourmets. The paella for two can serve at least 4 people; same thing for the calamari salad. The restaurant should review the menu, and serve quality food not quantity. Waiters should warn clients about the quantity of food served. The restaurant was too much like a market: too much noise. The waiter was rude; perhaps he was too tired... or maybe because of our skin complexion... The only enjoyment was the fish in the aquarium.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 16 2009 Seafood extrodinaire I am in Nice on a business trip and have never been here before. It's very nice to be lucky enough on the first night in a town alone to come accross a fantasic seafood restaurant in a foreign place. I am from Seattle Washington, USA and appreciate excellent fresh seafood dishes. This was one of those. The Ambiance was superb, I eat inside, upstairs. The waiters were friendly but the food itself was fantasic and although not inexpensive fairly prices. Customers were generally well dressed although I'm not aware of a dress code (there might be one) I was in slacks and a sweater.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 27 2009 Not going to eat there again I went twice (Jan 2009) cause the first time I thought may be am unlucky in choosing my plate, I ordered Seafood Paella which was 45 euro so I guessed for sure it would be a great dish cause of its price and yup it was big dish full of rice and the sea food can be counted on the hands and mostly all was shell fish!!!! So I thought to give it another try next day I ordered a sea food salad which was about 27 euro and spaghetti with shrimp which was also about 27 euro, and after a 25 min of waiting the spaghetti meal was spaghetti with 4 shrimps!!!!!!, I swear only 4 shrimps and the salad was full of shells about 7, a little amount of calamari slices, a small piece of fish and 2 shrimps so definitely I wasn’t unlucky, this place is expensive in comparison to amount of food they offer.
Reviewed by: Kewan from on Feb 05 2009 Pretentious The place i admit is beautiful, the seafood platter expensively glorious at 150 euro to share, but the waiters had an attitude problem. One of them completely ignored me, putting all his flirtatious attention towards my better half, and I think he was so overwhelmed he made us wait 30 minutes for drinks. We had a good laugh there with one of the components of the platter, a sea potato,yukky... (till i was presented with the bill) and the food was glorious but the cocky waiter should mind his manners and forget he's french...

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 21 2008 Could eat here every night!! There was nothing to dislike for these two Canadian travellers. There was a slight glitch in the service but it was more than made up for and with great apology! The food was fantastic, so difficult to decide what to eat because everything looks so wonderful. Portions are large so be warned! Perhaps a little pricey but it wouldn't stop us from going back again and again!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 26 2007 fantastic sea food A great restaurant in the center of Nice. The sea food platter was just amazing but a bit pricey. The mixed sea food was from another world! A lot of quantity and quality at the same time, but also quite pricey.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 05 2007 Lovely, lovely, lovely We had eaten on the terrace of this restaurant during the summer, and really enjoyed our meal. Our group then consisted of three students and their four middle aged parents. The ambiance suited us all - quite buzzy without being at all false. Everyone around us seemed to be tucking in happily.
