Les Punxes is worth a visit because of its collection and also because of the place where it is situated. This gallery is located in the Casa de les Punxes, a modernist and newly remodeled building built by the great architect Puig i Cadafalch. The building represents the modernist architecture of Barcelona with arches and structures similar to those found in the Gothic constructions in northern Europe. The gallery specializes in the works of contemporary sculptors, both Spanish and from abroad. Previous exhibitions have included works of Giro Naito, a Japanese sculptor who uses materials such as methacrylate.
