Back to Ciudad Condal Great!!! Pinoys going to Spain, try Ciudad Contal and stay at the bar seats. The Pinoy waiters will take care of you with their hospitality. Great Seafood and Sangria! Look for Butch and his friends to help you with the endless choices of Tapas and desserts. I felt right at home!

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 02 2008 The best in Barcelona!!! While writing this review, I am here in my hotel room still salivating from the wonderful gustatory experience we've been enjoying for the past two days. Only on our second day here in Barcelona and have eaten there twice already. The best tapas ever!!! Fresh, good quality, very tasty and great concoctions of a wide variety of tapas. Our favorites are razor clams (grilled fresh and with garlic oil, served on shell), steak on bruschetta (rightly cooked, tender and juicy meat),grilled prawns on skewers, really delicious, and the best fried peppers, small whole, green peppers deep-fried and lightly salted, incredible!(i can't remember the name). We are staying in Barcelona for four nights, and we plan to eat there everyday. I have tried other tapas bar and all paled in comparison. Service is also fast and friendly. Even with the crowd, the staff are always efficient and gives great service.Don't leave Barcelona without trying the offerings of Ciudad Condal. You won't regret it!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 17 2008 Excellent!! We are here for a 2 week business trip and have eaten here 3 times in 9 days. Excellent food. Try to come early and eat at the bar for a true tappas experince (you also have a better idea of what you are ordering). If you are at a table, have Edmund pick a selection for you...you can't go wrong. Wild mushrooms and asparagus are REDICULOUSLY deliciuos. Any of the sardine o anchovie tapas are outstanding as well. Edmund is great, other servers are spotty but not a reason to not try this place.
Reviewed by: mpz522 from on Feb 25 2008 The best of the best !!!! The "Ciudad Condal" is just off the main tourist "drag" but very central just 2 minutes walk from the Placa Cataluña. A cut above the rest and without doubt the best tapas bar in Barcelona. (so say the locals).

Reviewed by: NANCY from on May 01 2007 Tapas! Trendy and nice at the same time! Start your tapas experience in Barcellona from this place. They serve a wide range of tapas in a place with a glittering atmosphere. And the food is just excellent and not particularly expensive!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 17 2006 Went for 1 glass of wine - still there hours later! Great atmosphere, great wine, great tapas - full of locals! Thanks to the shop assistant who recommended Ciudad Condal - if I lived in Barcelona I'd spend every Firday night there!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 22 2006 Recommended by Locals I owe the cobbler who recommended this place to me a beer and a tapa. This was a fantastic place to meet with friends or to make new ones. Everyone is welcoming and the food and drink are second to none. I will never go to Barcelona and not stop by this place.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 13 2006 Best of the block See my review of Tramoia and you will understand. Tramoia is just on the other side of the crossroads. Funny that the best and the worst restaurant (at least of the about 15 we tried) are just 50 meters apart.
