These unique garden grounds, laid out in a baroque style, are one of the most famous attractions in Hanover. This huge garden was sculpted in 1699 on the request of electoral princess Sophie. Despite being a royal garden, access was granted to the public, which is still valid today. Entrance is gained through a golden gate, and it houses a labyrinth, sculptures, lake...all simply dream-like. Special features of the garden are the waterworks (including the biggest water fountain in Europe 82 meters) and the illuminations. These features make it a perfect spot for the daytime concerts that are held here.
