A Memorial about the Past
This lovely church was destroyed during the Allied bombing of World War II. Afterwards, many German cities were unable to rebuild much of their historical sites; yet still they wanted to remember what they had lost. The Aegidienkirche stands as a memorial to what the Germans lost during World War II. It is often used as memorial against all wars.
