Animals from seven continents roam the grounds of the Cleveland Zoo. Among the country's oldest zoos, it houses more than 3,300 animals and insects in roomy, natural settings spread out across 165 wooded acres. Free Zootrams whisk visitors from one area to the other, or you can use the pathways to trek around the grounds. There are plenty of play, rest and picnic areas. The zoo is divided into various areas: the Northern Trek area is the habitat of the cold-weather animals; the African Plains exhibit houses animals from Africa; while the Australian Adventure features kookaburras, wallabies and koalas. Prices vary, so call up and ask. Parking is free. 50% discounts are offered to people who use zoo-bound bus 20C, RTA.
