A Tram Ride Into The Canyon

Beautiful
My only disappointment was the fact that there was so much construction going on. The scenery was gorgeous. I was also disappointed that all the water was dried up; but that is my own fault for going in the heat of summer!! If you are in the Tucson area and it is the Fall, Winter, or Spring, you must see this area!

Such Beauty
Sabino is a great place to visit, but only on non-holidays and non-weekends to avoid the crouds. I grew up visiting Sabino when you could still drive to the top. We have loved the place to death. I haven't been back since '88 but you cannot beat it for the beauty of a riparian area in the Sonoran Desert.

Oasis
I visited the day after a major rain storm and this place was beautiful. The hike was wonderful. If you are unable to hike the tram ride is just has wonderful and informative. There are great picnic areas next to the Sabino dam. I highly recommend spending a day here or least 4hrs. So you cab take in all the beauty of the canyon.

Running friendly!
Very natural setting, lots of other people out and about. Very runner friendly (cyclists are limited in hours, but during cycling hours it is cycle friendly as well).

seven falls
I hiked to seven falls, about 8 miles round trip. It was spectacular!!! I loved seeing so many different varieties of cacti. If you decide to hike this trail, check at the ranger station how much water is flowing through the river. Water shoes might be a good idea depending on the time of year/last time it rained.

My first taste of Tucson!
This was an amazing trip. I loved the way the water goes right over the roadways. If it's a hot day this would be a wonderful way to cool off. I can definitely see myself going back here. The views were amazing!

Tucson Rocks!!
Sabino Canyon is a great place to spend some time. I am here from Palm Springs California which is similar terrain. I was very impressed with the park design as well as it's condition. California should model it's parks after Sabino Canyon. I am in Tucson for 5 days and I intend on visiting the park every morning.
