Back to Windsor (The) Overrated...Overcharged and Underwhelmed THE WINDSOR 1 Stimulus Package, 2 Guests, free breakfasts, 4 nights, and 5 Stars became: No package, 2 guests, 1 breakfast, 3 nights and a million questions as to how such a facility retained 5 stars.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 18 2009 Excellent historic hotel in heart of city The Windsor has beautiful, well-maintained rooms with a touch of class and history not found in chain hotels. The staff was first class in friendliness and helpfulness, even making the call to pay my car tolls. The front desk staff was also friendly and offered helpful hints. The location is perfect and you can walk to the CBD and all that it offers by just leaving the hotel's front door. I had breakfast in the hotel and found it to be hot and of a high quality. I would stay here again as it's a great base to explore Melbourne in style.
