Back to Casuarina Beach Club Worst Service Ever Beautiful Hotel, beautiful beach, beautiful island. Worst service imaginable. I have too many incidents to list but suffice to say that by day 3, we did our dining and drinking off of the resort. Save yourself the frustration and avoid.

Reviewed by: j from on Jul 31 2007 WAS 5 Star - now???? Casuarina was a great place as is Barbados. We have been going at least once a year since 1987 and it was a sad day to hear that Almond bought the facilty. We will not return as it is an all-inclusive and there is absolutely no need for that while in Barbados!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 12 2007 daylight robbery pricey. did not receive the hospitality paid for. the best hotels in europe are less expensive but still try to do a better job in the areas of class and style.would not stay there again

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 05 2007 These photos not of Almond Casuarina Beach club Hi, I saw this link on Yahoo travel on Jan.01/2007 and can tell you those are not photos of Almond Casuarina Beach club. They are in fact very old photos of Casuarina Beach club from many years ago. Even the Catamaran is Capt. Sam's old boat and one has a sail from 10 years ago. Casuarina Beach club was bought out in 2005 by Almond Beach and the new Almond Casuarina beach club does not look like these photos after extensive renos.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 01 2007 Was excellent til got sold! I used to go to the casuarina every christmas and made alot of great friends there who went every year which was alot of people. The staff were laid back but this is the bajan lifestyle and made you realise you had to relax and chill out on holiday. it was full of things to do during the day. the activity crew were ace i.e reggie always smiling and energetic and friendly. there were people of all ages here. kids enjoying them selfs with kids there age and there parents just relaxing all day. the pool was ok but the beach was about 75 metres away so it was ideal. and then there was youths from 13 to 21 just hanging out and having a laugh! that has all changed now cos the owner who was very friendly and always looking after the gardens and customers sold up to a bigger company/hotel group. and now the almond beach club has taken over and are doing it all up and spoiling it. there making it all inclusive and are gonna ruin the friendly lifestyle. Most of the people i know have moved down the beach to the bouganvilia hotel. which is very nice and friendly. so if ur looking for a posh boring hotel then go to almond casurina. but if ur looking for a friendly welcoming anyone welcome hotel then go to the bouganvillia. and ive been going to barbados for 8 years now so i know the place.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 10 2006 Returning for our 10th wedding anniversary Loved the fact that it was near airport, near all the nightlife and restaurants and pool and beach area were ideal. Was great being room only as I found people who were staying all inclusive still came to the bars and restaurants at night as they were bored of staying within their resort and there was loads of good restaurants near Casaurina! We went there on honeymoon in 1997 and are planning a return visit in 2007 with our two children for our 10th wedding anniversary. Great value, loved the whole experience
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 05 2005 Award Winning Hotel - Can't Go Wrong Our stay at the Casuarina was outstanding. The staff members were very pleasing and the facilities were constantly being manicured and kept clean. It was a joy to get up in the morning and walk down to the beach and be greeted with a friendly Bajan smile and "How are you today?" or "Hope you have a wonderful day..." My family and I will definately be returning to this hotel on our next trip to Barbados.
