Graceland experience
We loved everything about the hotel. The room we had was very large and we were happy in this room but when there were some plumbing problems in our room we were upgraded to the Graceland suite for 3 nights and we felt like we were in heaven. The lounge was very nice and the food available there was very good. The staff was very friendly and very accomodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is very beautiful. It was very worth the time and money that we spent and will return to stay there again. No matter who you met in the hallways, everyone on staff was very friendly.

Horrible Place A Real Heart Break
We stayed here recently and were very disappointed. The hotel should be leveled and rebuilt. It is seedy and dirty and nothing at all like the photos. Yes, the small lobby is nice but few steps beyond show how awful it actually is. We were awakened at 7 am from a defective smoke detector. After it was determined there was no fire it took 20 minutes to have it disabled. It was replaced a while later no one commented on this or said anything about it. Not one I'm sorry for any inconvenience. The breakfast was ok but cleanliness was an issue there too. Advice - don't go there!

WASN'T WORTH IT
DO NOT GET THE KING SUITE PLEASE!!! SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY THE HIDE A BEDS ARE AWEFUL THE COUCHES ARE DINGY AND THE HIDE A BED FLIMSEY. THE KING SIZE BED WAS HARD AS A ROCK THE LOVELY POOL WAS CUTE BUT 4 FEET DEEP. SECURITY WAS GOOD THE LOCATION AND ELVIS CHANNEL WERE GREAT ALL VENDING MACHINES WERE BROKEN. THE BREAKFAST WAS OK THE DOUBLE TREE ON BEALE STREET WAS MUCH BETTER FOR THE SAME AMOUNT I HAD TWO BEDS AND A HIDE A BED AND A WONDERFUL BREAKFAST THERE :0) LOTS OF COOL PICS AND THE ELVIS CHANNEL WAS COOL THE WORKERS WERE NICE BUT THE PLACE COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER WITHOUT THE HIDE A BED YUCK!

Heartbreak is right!
We thought staying here would be a great time and connivance to Graceland, We booked a king room weeks in advance and with speculation of reading the reviews but we took a chance. We arrived at 11:30 at night on 6/19/2009 and the room was on the 1st floor. The room was clean for the most part but the bathroom shower was a moldy mess and the bathroom sink faucet didn’t work for hot water. The old fashion “window air conditioner” sounded like a metal grinder and needless to say we got very little sleep that night and it put a damper on our day at Graceland. We were both very disappointed and if it wasn’t so late we would have left 5 mins after seeing the room. We booked the Hilton in German town the next 2 days. After talking to other guest (at check out) they too were in disbelief of the condition of this place. EPE – Please close it for a few months and upgrade this place, Elvis would have been P.O’ed on how his fans are treated here.

Convenient and Pleasurable Stay
Don't listen to the bad reviews! We stayed in early June and the place was clean, convenient to Graceland, and had a wonderful and friendly staff. The security guards that work at the front entrance were by no means an inconvenience. The breakfast didn't have many options, but does that really matter when you're about to visit the King's home? It didn't to me. I'll definitely be booking the Heartbreak Hotel again on my next trip.

I LOVED IT...
I would go back in a heartbeat. It was very nice there. Everything was clean. The continental breakfast was good. We sat in the lounge for a couple hours at night, watched the Elvis DVD'. The people that worked there were super. They cleaned the rooms everday. We stayed there from May 5th til May 7th. I would go back in a New York minute. I did not find the gift stores too pricie. All in all it was an enjoyable stay. I would recommend it to anyone (in fact, I have recommended to a friend and co-worker).

Heartbreak hotel will break your heart!
Just got back from a trip to Nashville and Memphis. We had a great trip and loved Graceland. The only downer of the whole trip was our two night stay at the Heartbreak Hotel. We stayed here for the experience and convenient location across from Graceland. What we encountered at the hotel was filth and bugs. In our two nights, we moved to three different rooms because of the smell and the bugs. Room # 1 smelled musty and moldy. Room # 2 was the jungle theme room where a bug crawled across the pillow in the middle of the night. We later found out it was a tick. Room # 3 which was the "Burning Love" theme room had mold in the shower and on the shower curtain. Tired of moving, we purchased tilex at the local Walgreen's and scrubbed out the shower. That night we saw ants crawling on the couch and found a trail of ants behind the couch.

A Let Down For Elvis
We have just returned from our trip to Memphis, luckily we only had a week at the Heartbreak Hotel, (if Elvis was alive today thats exactly what his heart would do BREAK).

Avoid Like the Plague
Do not stay here under any circumstances. It will be an insurmountable obstacle to enjoyment of your trip. It is dirty, bland, crumbling from neglect and staffed by people who don't care. It is a massive ugly structure that has no windows on the front and a security stop point to enter the parking lot - both giving it the look of a fortress.
