Lying next to Ibiza's city walls and the old part of the city, not only the Puig des Molins necropolis, but also the Phoenician site Sa Caleta, which is unique in the world, have been declared a World Heritage site by Unesco. This is a settlement including houses, workshops and stores of which only the outer walls remain. The site is protected by a fence, and it is believed that part of the land has been eroded by the sea and a large part of the settlement has been lost. According to the latest theories, the inhabitants of the settlement abandoned it to build a new one in what is now Dalt Vila. The site is easy to reach by car by taking the signposted turning to Sa Caleta on the road between San Jorge and the airport.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
