This is truly like walking into the past; early Hollywood. It made me feel as though I was breaking some type of mystic law while walking through the neighborhoods and their unique homes. Walking down the tiny spiral staircase of one old legends residence I felt as though he was whispering in my ear as I decended deeper into the earth. The smells made the experience complete for me.

In the middle of a freeway, Highland Avenue and Franklin is an amazing slice of old Los Angeles -- called Whitley Heights. It feels like you stepped back in time and the houses are right out of the 1900's!

We were walking around before a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and decided to take a small walk above the picnic areas. Boy, were we surprised! What a beautiful place - and just tucked away behind the trees too. You'd never know it was there.
