Overall, good job Best Western
Overall, the hotel was worth the $$. The rooms were clean and the service was pretty friendly. The free breakfast buffet was great...you could even make your own Belgium waffles. The location was great, although it would be super if you didn't get charged for parking - $5 a day. Only complaint is they only have two elevators which is inconvenient and you have to wait for it. Also while I was there, one went "out of service" half way through my trip which was really inconvenient. The maid service doesn't run 24 hours so be sure to get the amount of towels you need during the day. The front desk was very helpful though with all our questions and requests.

Definitely worth it
My boyfriend and I just came back from our stay here for a week. I was really taken a back, this was a great hotel! It offered all the necessary amenities without being unreasonably priced. The staff was very friendly, the rooms and grounds clean, and very convenient location to enjoy all of what Greater Fort Lauderdale has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

Barely Mediocre
This hotel's location is the only good thing about it. When we checked in we were early and I provided the staff with a phone number to call me when the room was ready as they assured me that this was their policy. By six that evening, no call and our room was still not ready. As I waited in line to cheek the room's status - two parties checked in ahead of me into the same type of rooms. The front staff seemed unorganized and incompetant and at times rude. Our swipe keys regularly did not work and they told us about "computer problems". The housekeeping staff starts at 8am and is disruptive. The room was dirty as was the bathroom. The hotel is old an run-down and there are old construction materials and debris scattered about the public areas. The parking garage is a nightmare. The view on three sides is other hotels (walls) and the alleyways below. This hotel's "ocean view" is completely blocked on three sides by other buildings.

couldn't wait to get out
We were booked to stay here on the 7th of Oct once we got off of our cruise. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale the night before our cruise and decided to stay here instead of wasting time looking antogher place. Without even looking at the rooms we had already booked for the night. What a mistake. The elevators were nasty with broken parkae flooring in them and also spit on the floor. Our room doors did not seal tightly so you could hear all the noise in the place. The people downstairs partied until 3am in the morning and it sounded like they were right in our room. When we went to leave our room it would not lock so my husband spent some time playing with it until it did lock. The colors of paint they used to spruce it up which they call a reno were just a little too much. The breakfast in the morning was very good and they even make fresh waffles for you, however it was not enough for us to come back to so we went to search out another place down the street at the Bahia Mar which was the same price and had a beautiful view. The BW Oceanside has no view except for the construction behind it. Bottom line is we did not feel safe and comfortable in this place and would not recommend it.

I Loved It!
This Hotel is right by everything. You walk 2 blocks down A1A and Las Olas, you are in the center of all the action. Directly behind it is the beach, literally a 30 second walk. The Hotel room is your basic room and the staff there was very nice. I went last Spring Break and tried to go back again this Winter Break but they didn't have any avaliable rooms. I Would for sure reccomend this Hotel to everyone. Best Price, Great Time, and it all happened at the Best Western Oceanside Inn!

more like 6 stars!
great experience! my room was very clean, comfortable, and i slept like a baby! the staff was great, the pool looked great, though i never got a chance to swim in it. (i was very heartbroken about having to come back to the land of the broken heart, illinois, the next day.) also, it is none more than a short walk from beautiful fort lauderdale beach.

steps from beach
This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the beach and many other attractions. It was clean and the staff was friendly. A perfect place to stay if you're looking to relax. Price is a bit up there.

Great location
This is an older hotel but nice, the location is perfect walk around the building and you are on the beach walk down A-1A and you are at the Elbow Room. Driving distance from Sawgrass Mall, and boat to nowhere. Great location
