I will go back
It was mij first time in Caracas (09/2007)and i was glad that i choose this hotel. In the centre are more and better hotels, but still they are in the center with a lot off noise and no garden etc. This hotel is lokated on a quiet and nice place. Outside the hotel area you can walk, but in the evening it's better to do not. (By the way:There is no reason to walk outside the hotelarea, because you don't have anything to see there). We took the taxi every day(which are standing for the hotel) and it wasn't expensive.

I haven't been there is a while, but I cherish the memory of a week I spent there. Absolutely lovely!

Enjoyed my stay!
If you want an American style hotel tower, this is not it. The Avila has beautiful gardens, and indoor-outdoor bar in a lush setting and top notch service. It is not located right downtown, but, is in a convenient place.
