The best kept secret in Tucson
Made it a point to visit even after just having been to New York Botanical Gardens. I was not disappointed. It is larger than it appears. The grounds are so well maintained and the specialty gardens are a treat. Arrive early and spend time for lunch.

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES!!
I went here today and was amazed at the wonderful butterfly exhibit! So many butterflies fly around you and there are many wonderful flowers they land on. If you go, bring a camera with a good MACRO mode! Outside of the butterfly exhibit, they have a butterfly ER - more like a delievery room! You can watch them hatch out of their chrysallis! It's really cool! There are many native flowers and butterflies also...great place to take the kids!

Absolutely Lovely
The Botanical Gardens is a hidden gem of Tucson. It was easy to pass on the road when searching from it, but once we found it and entered the gardens, it was lovely. We visited in January '06 when it is still considered Arizona's "Winter" so there were not a lot of flowers blooming. Nevertheless, the gardens were still lovely and only hinted at the Spring beauty to come. We visited the Butterfly Exhibit and it was also wonderful and breathtaking. We would definately return to this facility.
