Back to Tohono Chul Park Great Park The Tea Room is OK, but the real gem is the Park itself. There are beautiful trails lined with native plants that really dispel the notion that the desert isn't colorful. They also have rotating art exhibits up all year round in a few different galleries, so you're bound to see something new with each visit. If you're not from the Southwest, this is a great, inexpensive place to visit to learn all about it (just grab one of the docents along the path) and if you are from the Southwest, like me, it's the best place to learn about desert gardening I have ever seen.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 08 2008 Overrated - blah food! This place is seriously overrated and over-priced - a tourist trap. Locals don't eat here because there are dozens of restaurants in the area that put theirs to shame. High prices. Poor quality....

Sumptuous breakfasts - great coffee - friendly service. Walk in the tearoom garden - small but loaded with Tucson's beautiful array of desert plants. Brought my 6 & 12 year old grandchildren, and they behaved because it was so interesting and they could 'take a walk' between ordering food and its delivery.
