Decorated in feudal style, this place has firmly established itself at the top of Hamburg's culinary premier league. Huge windows provide great views over beautiful Lake Alster, a piano player tinkles in the background and the wine list is simply unbeatable. All this could easily deflect interest from the food - if it weren't for the creative and refined dishes rustled up by chef Hans-Peter Engels, holder of numerous Gault Millaut and Michelin awards.
