Back to Mud Island River Park Aug 2009 We went to Mud Island last weekend, did the monorail (probably would've been better to walk the bridge) We had to wait in the monorail car, for about 15 minutes before it started, which has no air, and the workers would not let us get off. Telling us if we were going to ride it we had to wait inside. When another couple told them it was too hot to wait inside the worker told them that she had been sitting in the heat for 8 hours. (But she's getting paid to sit there, right? And she was sitting outside where the wind was blowing, not inside where there was no circulation)

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Reviewed by: jackie from on May 02 2007 Can I move this place to my hometown? Oh, WOW!! We almost didn't go to this attractions because we were so tired and ready to drive back home, but we stopped. It is so neat. It was my favorite place in Memphis. We did not visit the museum, just the park. It is a great place to have a picnic. The sight are amazing. You can see barges on the Mississippi River. The bridge that connects Arkansas and Tennessee and so much more from this location. The miniture Mississippi River model opens up to this neat spot where you can ride paddle boats or wade in this fountain. My kids had so much fun. There is alot of shady places to just sit and relax. So, can I move it to my hometown?
Reviewed by: Kellie from on Apr 30 2007 LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!! I loved Mud Island!!! I went to Memphis for Graceland, but when I heard about this place I thought that I would give it a try and I thought it was great! I have been back to Memphis 4 times and it was great every time! The museum is awesome and I loved walking "in the Mississippi River"!! I thought the tram ride was fabulous. I know that the movie "The FIRM" starring Tom Cruise was filmed there and as soon as I got home, I watched it. I thought it was cool, because on the movie, he rides the tram on Mud Island! I will go back a a million times! It is great fun for the whole family!
