Back to Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport Nice business hotel, annoying extra charges Apparently I stayed in a renovated room. It was very nice and stylish. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was nice after arriving on a red eye. Also, there were rooms so I was able to check in at 8.30a. Awesome. They also had free fruit at the reception so I was able to eat healthier than normal.

Reviewed by: Shanique from on Jun 22 2007 Find Anywhere Else To Stay I was traveling alone with 3 seven year olds and waited 1/2 hour for the shuttle bus and it passed right by us. I called again and it took 25 more minutes for it to come back and get us. No appologies!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 16 2007 Wyndham Hotel Ft Lauderdale The worst hotel I have stayed in for years. There was extensive construction being done, the rooms were dirty, the carpets and curtains stained, and the area was very noisy. The air conditioner was faulty and at least 30 years old.The "heated" outdoor pool was as cold as ice. There was even a dead lizard in the window!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 02 2007 Beware - does not honor reservations On December 2, 2006 we arrived at this hotel with a credit card secured reservation that had been made months before, and were informed that they were "sold out". They sent us to a horrible hotel in the middle of the night 30 minutes away, where incredibly, roaches scampered about in the bathroom. If management can't even honor their reservations, what else can't they do right? Shame on Wyndham! We will never, never reserve a room for any of Wyndham International Corporation's hotels, or their affilites, or parent company again.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 28 2006 Stay anywhere but here! Definitely do not take the airport shuttle service to the Wyndam, and to save yourself the trouble, do not stay here at all! After arriving at the airport a little late, we waited over an hour for the Wyndam shuttle despite the fact that the hotel staff said it would be there "any minute". Apparently one of the two vans had broken down. We finally spoke to the hotel manager who refused to reimburse us for a taxi fare, so we continued to wait. Shortly after midnight, the van arrived and the driver said he was unaware that we had been waiting. After picking up more passengers at the other terminals, we drove past the surly driver of the other van who shouted obscenities at us. Upon check in, we were given a noisy room over the lobby. We tried to check out using the in-room TV menu but it was off-line. The check-out staff was rude and refused to credit frequent flier miles because he couldn't find our records. With a nice Sheraton across the street, we recommend that you choose it over the Wyndam.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 11 2006 Great for travel I stayed here for a night on a business trip. The staff was very accomodating and welcoming. The room was big and clean. The lobby was nice too. Unfortunately I did not get to use the hotel's pool or other facilities. The hotel is very close to the airport and rental car stands.
Reviewed by: Bryan from on Jun 01 2005 Good for flights...Bad for Spring Breakers This hotel was nice and cozy but it was in a bad spot for us spring breakers. This is because it was about 15 minutes away from the beach and all of the nightclubs and restaurants. The only advantage that this had was that it was steps away from the airport. Overall it was a good experience but would have liked to been closer to the beach.
Reviewed by: nicole from on May 20 2005 Atrocious comes to mind... We arrived for my husbands business trip at night, so the hotel(from the outside) looked ok. When you see it during the day - you see a bright and disgusting yellow and white color palette. The bathroom was tiny- the door would hardly shut when you were in there! You could feel every spring on the bed when you laid on it! The a/c system was very old and the access to it was pathetic. There were no brochures on site of local attractions, don't ask the bellhops or front desk how to get places..All you will get is an attitude and LOST. The only place to park is in their garage which costs $8 a day, unless you want valet for $12 a day. We have stayed many places for my husbands business trips - this by far was the worst! I do NOT recommend this dump, do not trust the hotel's site pictures..They must have been at another hotel.
