Definitely for kids
My girlfriend and I generally like hands on museums and learning new things but this one was definitely geared towards children with not much to offer adults. The one exception was a new feature opening during our visit of a suspended globe with four projectors aimed at it. They could pull up the Earth, different planets and moons, and different maps of various things in our solar system, along with temp and ocean current maps (and many many others). We won't be back until we have children.

Fun but disappointing
This was one of our favorite places until we saw the display of actual human fetuses. We love the learning, but the lack of respect for human life was appalling. We asked about the origin of the displays and were dismissed and demeaned. We used to go 3-4 times a year, and haven't been back since. Other than that, the educational experience is excellent.

Good but Expensive
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry or OMSI is a great place to go. I went and watched a movie at the OMNIMAX and rode the Motion Simulator.
