A slanted ceiling, plush red walls and an angular bar decorate the Gloria café. The main room of this former cinema is used for concerts, theater, parties and other events in the evening. The café is situated in what was the cinema's lobby, and is open all day. Here a stylish young clientèle sit at the stainless-steel tables, sipping their coffees between appointments. The venue often hosts gay/lesbian-oriented events, and the clientèle the café is mixed, but you won't feel out of place if you happen to be straight. The Gloria is one of the few decent cafés anywhere near Neumarkt, and is an ideal place for a pause while shopping.
