The Yakult-Halle, with its tent-like construction, was designed by the American architecht Mark Beard, and was opened in 1996 with a production of The Nightingale. It is located in the upper foyer of theOpernhaus Köln, in the same complex as the Schauspielhaus and the West-End-Theater. The program, is aimed primarily at children and sung by grown-ups, but can be enjoyed by music-lovers of all ages.
