Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 07 2009 Exquisite Our dinner at the Au Jardin, though a little difficult to find, was spectacular. The staff there was extremely attentive and responsive, and the food was exquisitely prepared and presented. Seated in the large, glass-enclosed and air-conditioned veranda we could enjoy four-course Prix Fixe and the evening in in-door/out-door comfort. We had the quiet, intimate, romantic dining experience we sought. For best seating (location and timing), make your reservation via the Ritz Carlton or other upscale hotel concierge. For hassle free drop off, make sure that your taxi driver knows the restaurant entrance, not just the location of the Botanical Gardens. DO NOT BOARD A TAXI BEFORE CONFIRMING THE DRIVER'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE EXACT LOCATION.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 18 2008 Excellent choice for our 1st year wedding anniversary! My husband and I just went here tonight for our 1st year wedding anniversary, and we really feel that this was "the" restaurant to go to for the best ambience, romance, intimacy, and good food. They had a 4 course or 8 course menu, and we opted for the 4 course menu. The food was great and the value and service was superb. We walked out of there feeling very satisfied like we got our money's worth (S150 per person) so we were very happy about that. Nice atmosphere, not crowded because it is a fancy place, expect to be there for 2 1/2 hours and enjoy the serenity, and good company. Looking forward to having lunch there soon to reminisce about our anniversary dinner there! We absolutely loved it and I believe you will too.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 19 2008 Well done! The service was FANTASTIC the food was very good to excellent & the wine list (While a bit too pricy) was very good.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 27 2008 Always good for a romantic dinner or special occasion. Or just if you feel like having a relaxing meal in great surroundings. Good Service, Great Ambience, Excellent Food. Evening is the best time as the gardens are quiet and the mood is enhanced. Avoid festive seasons if you like it quiet.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 26 2007 Singapore Au Jardin impresses before you have even set foot inside. Entering the Botanic Gardens at night, you have a short walk up to the house to admire the gardens and enjoy the experience of your own "private" Botanic gardens, before the restaurant appears in all its restored 1920s splendor. Once inside the service is superb, with a top-class sommelier on hand to help with the wine list (which is wonderful, of course). The food is out-of-this-world (French with an Asian twist) and you have a view (from your air conditioned seat) out into the gardens. You pay for the priviledge, with dinner running over SGD 100 per person, but it is well worth it.
Reviewed by: BamBi from on Apr 12 2007 Very romantic and excellent food I have to admit that my dining experience at Au Jardin was a few years' back when Justin was still the chef there. The location is within the Botanical Gardens and very romantic.
Reviewed by: Peech from on Jul 08 2006 Will Never Go Back After the long walk from the road,it was hot and stuffy in the restaurant. The food was mediocre and the service was almost condescending. I was put off by the extra charge for certain main courses. Worst of all, there was a pair of lizards clucking away just outside the window. It was not worth half of the $450 we paid for the two of us. When the waiter called a cab for us, it was nowhere to be found - so we had to call our own after a half hour wait.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 19 2006 Oustanding Beautiful. Lovely setting. Fantastic classical french food. Great wine list. And service that is more than just efficient and friendly the team is blessed with character. Rare in Singapore. A true gem. Best for couples or small groups of up to 6. Many would say for special celebrations but life is always worth celebrating.
