This museum is located in one of the most representative buildings of Seville, the Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold), built in 1220. Its name is said to derive from the tiles covering the highest part of the tower that shine in the sun.Inside you can find etchings, Maritime letters, scale models, and ancient instruments of navigation, as well as historic documents. The museum creates an image of the naval history of Seville, of the importance of its river, and of the legacy of its illustrious seafarers.
