We stayed the weekend of July 10th.The Staff was very nice.The room was clean and just large enough for the four of us.The price was right.the pool was very refreshing and we were just steps from the Ocean.I would recomend this Hotel to anyone who wants a clean place to lay your head.

Three friends and myself recently made reservations to stay at the Ronny Dee hotel while in the Pompano Beach/Ft. Lauderdale area. We knew a friend of the owner(s) and were promised a 20% discount on a "Large 2 Bedroom Apt," which we booked over two months in advance. Upon arrival, we first noticed that the motel was nothing like the pictures the website display and were told that we would only be given a 10% discount. The motel was quite run down and in serious need of work, paint, etc. We were then taken to our "two bed room apt." which was merely an extremely small room with two twin beds and a strong musty smell. We explained to the staff that this was not what we had expected and that we would be very crammed in the current accommodation. The man then told us that he would open the conjoining room to give us more space. We explained to the individual that we had not budgeted for an additional room and that we simply could not afford another room. He told us to ânot worry about the room for the nightâ and that we could figure things out the following morning. We repeatedly declined but eventually gave in, believing that we would not be charged for the additional room for that single night. The next morning we decided that we would be too crowded in that small room for the week and made other arrangements. Upon telling the staff, we were treated very rudely, told we would not be given any discount, and charged full price for two rooms. We tried to explain that we were told we not be charged for the additional room, but were told, âwe would never say that!â Overall, this was a horrible experience. The rooms were in bad shape, but this was not the major problem. The problem I have with this motel is the multitude of lies that we were told while dealing with this business. I would definitely advise against staying there!

I needed a place to sleep and keep my things for a few days while visiting the Pompano Beach area and cannot imagine better, low-cost accomodations. My room had a small fridge, a microwave oven, and completely drinkable water (from the tap)! Everything was neat, clean, and well-kept, and the owners were pleasant and friendly. I give high marks in all areas and recommend the Ronny Dee for those who want a secure, comfortable place to stay in the Ft. Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area but don't want the big bill that goes with hotel chain accomodations.
