St. Regis is a true winner in Beijing. Rooms are spacious and modern with all the amenities expected of a 5 star hotel. Some of the nicer touches include umbrellas in the room (we had a major downpour on one of the days in Beijing, but did not pack an umbrella so made good use of the umbrellas in the room), bottled waters daily, vey knowledgable concierge....

last time i was in Beijing(1984) We got bumped out of our hotel and spent the night in a chinese steel-workers union hall.
