This event is officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest gathering of cyclists on the planet. Usually in early June, 45,000 take to their bikes to pedal between 60 and 70 kilometres through the streets of Montreal, a city ordained by Bicycling Magazine as the friendliest for cycling in the world.
