Boring, boring, boring
I had been looking forward to a trip on the Great Mississippi, so we booked our 2 hour trip on arrival at Memphis. I was hoping to see some of the river and travel a few miles on it, after all, 2 hours is a long time. Not so; The boat left its dock and proceeded to chug at 1 mph whilst someone gave a monotone over the speaker system about history that I could have read on the Internet. After reaching the first bridge several hundred yards downstream, it turned around and headed for a point just off the mouth of the inlet where the dock is. We then marked time for over 45 minutes whilst the voice on the speaker system went on and on, even repeating the same old story about the new dock, in fact I actually fell asleep for a few minutes. This was not the river trip that I was hoping for and I felt ripped off and disappointed. The only conclusion I can make about this is that having got your money, they wanted to spend as little on fuel as possible, hoping their rather elderly passengers wouldn’t notice.

It was ok.
The trip was ok. We took our parents for their 43rd anniversary. We ordered a cake and balloons from them that was a nice touch. Food was ok. It was very cramped on the boat. Too many tables squezed together. Very warm on the boat, the little ac they had did not work very well. But it was an ok trip would I take it again probably not.

wonderful time!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on the dinner cruise! Everyone was very nice and everything seemed organized and well planned. The view was beautiful at night, and the band had everyone dancing. The dinner was better than expected and enough to get full on. The price was fair for what we got. I would recommend this to everyone visiting Memphis.

What a dissapointment
The band we had on board was excellent and we had a blast enjoying them and the other passengers. Thats pretty much it for the good. As for the bad, it started with parking on an extreme hill with cobble stones that mad it very difficult for walking without loosing your balance. When we got to the boat, I noticed it wasn't a real paddle wheeler. The food was terrible. The meat choice was a pink chicken breast boneless, or pulled pork that was so dry we couldn't swallow it. By the time we were served, there was no barbecue sauce left to even poor over it. in addition we had cold slaw and mexican corn. I don't even want to try and describe the tiny desert dish because I don't have a clue what was in iut it was awful. On top of it all, the trip was 2 hours and all we did was go back and forth over a couple mile area looking at the skyline. All and all this was really dissapointing and not even close to being worth the high price paid. You get more and better food in a Kentucky fried chicken dinner in a box. Oh by the way we are from Nebraska and are certainly not dissgrunteled employees.

Good and Bad
It looks like perhaps this company is past it's heyday which is disappointing. I would be embarrassed to have company over if my home was as poorly kept up as their boat. There were cobwebs all over the place. I learned over the edge of the railing to see the paddlewheel turning, and when I stood back up, my blue pants were streaked with cobwebs. Chairs and railings were visibly dirty, and the floor inside was very, very sticky, but the tables were clean.

Not a real paddle wheel boat
I always wanted to go on a paddle wheel boat. After I bought the ticket and and boarded my boat, I realized this it was a modern diesel steel boat. The paddle wheel in the back was only for show. I was disappointed.

most horrible night
Febuary 14, 2008 the worst Valentines Day ever. It was my 5 year anniversary and I thought the riverboat would be a romantic idea, well i thought wrong. One, we get to the boat to find a horrible sitting arrangement, but guess what our name is marked off on it, so we have no seat. It was great standing there for 10 minutes while they tried to find use a table when the reservations had been made for a month.Anyways as the night goes by we wait for our turn to go to the BUFFET, they said they would come get us to go get food, we were on the opposite side of the boat so we got to go last, while others apparently got to eat several times. We did not get any food, well we did but idon't think you consider cold chicken and green beans food. Finally at the end of the ride they tried to compensate us for the food we did not get with a bottle of Andre Extra Dry champagene, a $6 bottle that they say cost $25. In all we were compensated $49 out of $100 for the most horrible night of my life. Trust me I have been to many places but this was by far the worst do not go!!!!!!!
