Back to Galleria Doria Pamphilj Gem of a Museum I'm glad to hear that 7 years after my visit to this museum in 2000, the previous reviewer had the same experience that I had about the museum, staff and the wonderful, loving audioguide narrated by the founder's son. This was one of the highlights of my visit to Rome in 2000 and I hope to return next year. In 2000 they were serving afternoon tea in the downstairs area. What a delightful idea...not sure if they still are.

I recommend it wholeheartedly and also the most helpful and pleasant staff. From the beginning with the audio from the present owner giving an overview of the house and collection, to the works themselves and the well stocked shop, a highlight of my Rome visit.
