Doubletree is a good place to stay
Our room was large, clean and neat. We had no issues and feel that we got our money's worth. We liked having TGI Friday's in the hotel. If we missed eating, we could always get something at Friday's. We recommend The Doubletree.

Acceptable but not great.
I had the misconception that Doubletree was a premium Hotel, and based on this location it was at one time. However, this hotel has passed its prime and is in need of a thorough overhaul. The lobby is pretty nice, but the rooms fall short. Wallpaper peeling from walls, outdated furninshings, old TV with poor picture and noisy electronics, this place was probably nice in 1992... but not it 2009.

BEWARE - Poor Service Not Clean
We arrived late and were not given our AAA discount. The trashcan in the bathroom was not emptied - full of used personal products. The bath had mold around the bottom of the tiles. Requested a mini fridge - told they don't have them. The double rooms have only full size beds, so requested a cot, was told they don't have cots. Asked for extra blanket and pillow so son could sleep on floor. Was told "Housekeeping had already left". Was told breakfast was in the TGI Friday's (in hotel lobby)....surprised by $12pp charge for buffet. Was told they had parking, but when arrived was informed it was valet only and cost $20 per night extra.

It's ok if not in a rush to check in!!!!!
the hotel was very clean, The weight room need to be checked on a little more often for workout odor. the location was great!!!! The value was pretty good for the area. People will always want more for less(hints) Service: customer service was freindly but need to be more aware of how reservation are beening handle online and on the phone. You are told one thing online and on the phone, then when you arrive there are NO ROOMS AVAILABLE!!!! I THINK RESERVATIONS NEED TO BE HANDLE ALOT DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY ARE!!!! IF YOU ARE THE FIRST CUSTOMER TO MAKE A RESERVATION (for example: july 19.2008 that day) then they should be accomadated up on arrival. I know some people arrive late but still they should be register upon arrival. These things need to be done in a row according to who made reservation FIRST for that day!!!!! Last we had a problem with towels not being ready when needed. I think the hotel need to perpare for these type of problems. I ask for fresh towels at 8:30 or 9:00 am before i leave at 11:45 and stil did not received them.I used some of my brother towels who was accross the hall. I think this was because of two people in laundry department being out. YOU HAVE A GREAT HOTEL, BUT DON'T CRASH IT BECAUSE OF LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH STAFF!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!

Rude!
This hotel has very poor customer service. They also do not hold up to their promises when you reserve a room online and then phone them to get information. Upon checking in we were told a very different story.

Don't plan on going back
The pictures on the web pages I found were very nice and the hotel was located in a good location for things we wanted to do.

Poor Management and Staff
My husband and I got a room for my in-laws 50th anniversary, and upon arriving they were greeted with poor customer service. We requested a room with a king size bed, smoking. Upon entering the room my father in law called down to the desk and asked if he could smoke in the room, the said no, and he told them the confirmation page says smoking. They asked to be moved, they waited 20 minutes for someone to bring the new keys up, and still no one he went down to the desk and received the keys, going to their new room, they found 2 full beds but a smoking room. Who wants to spend their 50th anniversary in seperate beds. They complained to only to be greeted with rude remarks and a threat to have the police called on them. (Now my father in law is a baptist minister and a retired Vietnam Vet so how much yelling did he do) finally they had enough and checked out. We have been fighting back and forth getting several reasons as to why they acted the way they did and why they will not refund out money. Even there management handled the situation rude, I called and waited 3 hours for them to call me back, and then calling again received another manager who listened and said sorry not going to help you and hung up on me. I can't believe a place can treat their guest so rude and not care.

Stay away from here!!
This hotel is dirty, and they charge an arm and a leg for what. Convenience. There were pretzels and cheese balls next to the end tables by the bed, hidden by the comforter. Hair strands on the wall of the shower.

If you travel alot, this is not the place for you.
I travel every week. So, I am probably more particular than the average traveller. I am also Diamond with Hilton and stay at their hotels every chance I get.
