Do not stay here!
I just returned from a seminar in Memphis TN. THe only room I could find due to it being "Elvis week" was one at the French Quarter Suites. My room was absolutely disgusting! The furniture was ripped, the ceiling was covered with brown spots, and the room smelled like dirty mop water. I walked around in my shoes the whole time because the carpet was sticky and spongy. There was a coaster on the nightstand that was stuck so bad that I actually picked up the top board of the table trying to remove it. This hotel should have been closed a long time ago. The only thing positive I have to say is that the staff was nice.I will never ever ever stay in this hotel again. Please beware!

Already booked a 2nd trip
My husband and I were looking for a nice, romantic setting for our last night alone before picking up our children. We were alarmed when we first read the other reviews on this website. However, since I was originally from that area, I refused to believe that it could be what was portrayed - I remembered it as such a nice place. After calling the hotel and expressing my concern, I was assured that if we were unhappy that they would do everything to make us happy. With that promise, we booked. On the night of our arrival, we were treated warmly as we checked in. The Lobby is nice. Beautiful fountain. The hotel is over 20 years old and needs new carpet and fresh paint, but it is clean. We were so happy with our room. We had 2 rooms, felt like we were in an apartment rather than a hotel. The bathtub was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I would recommend this hotel to our friends and family!

DONT STAY HERE!
I am a college student in the Memphis area and we stayed there for a Fraternity formal last year. Now, college kids aren't too picky, but we all thought this hotel was REPULSIVE!! We found pretty much the same things as all the other reviews said.

Stay away!
My wife & I made a reservation at this hotel - and regretted it big time! The web site made the place look so nice, but in person, it was shameful. The room decor was right out of the '70's (1974 if I had to nail it down), the tub was huge, but nasty. The carpet was gross, and the room smelled like my grandfather (sorry grandad). We didn't set our luggage down, we turned right around and left. Of course, the management refused to refund anything, but it didn't matter. We had to get out fast. In short, don't stay here!

Not what it was in its heyday.
Me and my wife decided for our 7th anniversary we would stay here and enjoy the hot tub and the square area. The place is in need of some work. Since the square area is not what it used to be I am sure they are doing the best they can. It takes money to fix and replace things. It is still a bargain and the staff were really friendly and helpfull. I hope one day they can fix the square area and the French Quarter will get the help it needs. We had a great time.

Will not go back!
The website is very deceiving. The carpet in room was coming up in several spots. The jucuzzi in the bathroom was dirty. When the jacuzzi was turned on pieces of the bottom was floating to surface. The ceilings were ver moldy and run smelled. However the one and only good thing about the stay was the band.

Wouldn't let my dogs stay here!! DISGUSTING!!
First off let me say the pictures are Extremely inaccurate and misleading. This is the most Disgustin hotel I have ever seen. We took one look at the room upon arrival and checked out. The woman at the front desk even admitted that the pictures on the internet were very old, from when the hotel first opened and was very nice in reimbursing our money. I wouldn't even let my son sit on the bed. The carpets are stained and disgusting. The furniture is falling apart. I can't emphasize enough how utterly Disgustin this hotel is. Stay Away!! Sleep on the street instead, it will be cleaner! (If I could rate the hotel as a negative 10 stars I would!)

Do not ever want to go back!
When we arrived at the hotel June 17th @ 5:00pm, the restaurant and bar was closed. The clerk said both are to open at 6:00pm. Well, 6pm came and went and no restaurant or bar open. Found out from another guest that the restaurant hadn't been open since he arrived that Thursday. Our room, which was a suite, did not have a mircowave. Needs new capret. There were not enough workers there. Only saw 4 workers both days I was there. The hotel did not even serve a complimentary breakfast.
