A Great Afternoon!
We had an afternoon to spare, and how lucky we were to find this 1900's treasure just a few minutes from downtown. It's the original trading popst and home on one of the first settlers "Frank" and his wife, Ida. She was the first school teacher. Our guide told us about everything. Great fun!!!

A Hdden Gem
Located in downtown Ft Lauderdale the Historic Stranahan House Museum is a must see. It was orginally a trading post owned and operated by Frank Stranahan. In 1906 it was turned into a home for Frank an his wife Ivy.

Stranahan House
Great history, definetly a good place to visit. Not expensive at all, very friendly guides. Located in the best place in Ft. Lauderdale. Go today, and help them fight for their cause. Developers are going to build a huge building that will wrap around it, they will loose the beauty of the house, and we are going to loose our history. It is already hard to see it as it is, imagine with a big building wraped around it. It's a shame...
