it was totally awsome. the food was great but the service, eh. and for people who dont like bad service toughen up. and dont go there on a friday its packed

The pizza may be the best, but the service is surely the worse you can get. I was there with my wife and the owner put us behind the door, at a really unpleasant spot. The waiter came and threw a menu with lots of options and came back within less than 1 minute and got angry since we were still looking at it. We would have asked something to drink, but he left complaining about something in Italian. When he came back, we asked 1 pizza (and would ask for a salad) but he said, in Italian, they would never serve 1 pizza for 2 people, gave his back to us and left again saying things in Italian. Of course we left and sat at a place at the other corner where we had a better service.

Pizza was fine with thin crust but... maitre d was offensive to tourists from Asia and thos dining alone.

Although once you arrive there is always a line, I never waitied more than 15 mins in the 3 times i've gone. also the man is very rude, but its part of the atmosphere. Sometimes once you order the pizza can take like 35 mins becuase there are only 2 men making pizzas for the entire restaurant. But, it has always been worth every minute.

First of all, the Pizza was excellent! However... I was in Rome for one night, by myself, before meeting my girlfriend in Milan. I had heard a great deal about Baffetto, so I was excited to try it!

In the four years I lived in Rome and was a regular customer, I never once had a failure. It was always a place to take visitors.

We booked an extra night in Rome after going to another part of Italy just so we could go back to Da Baffetto. It has such a good atmosphere and it's very basic. No fancy nonsense, just amazing pizzas and a bottle of beer! Lovely!

I have family in Rome, and as a kid the whole family used to go. I haven't been there for quite a while, but I am going to Rome again in July 2008 and will be going back (it's been too long!!). BE WARNED: once you taste a pizza from this place, ALL others will taste inferior - trust me.....

The place is a little out of the way but worth finding. We ate a fair amount of pizza when we were in Italy, but this was, by far the best! Also, the house red wine was phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
