Back to Hotel La Jolla Poor service.. They d'nt have coffee machine in the room nor at the lobby..very badservice...the furnishing looks modern, but a closer look reveals the bad design. i found some unused wood planks. This place needs major cleanup.
Reviewed by: somar from on Nov 17 2009 NEVER AGAIN! I booked this hotel through Priceline so I only paid $100 per night... even that was too much! The rooms were okay. The furnishings were pretty shabby (it was like visiting a grandmother's house). We stayed on the 6th floor and it was so noisy. I could hear every footstep around me and the sliding glass doors to the adjacent rooms sounded like there was construction going on all around us! They say they have turn down service... we never got it! My wireless internet never worked. I spent over an hour of our vacation time on line with tech support and still never got anywhere. The phone in our hotel room was not working either. We called and had maintenance up to fix it. Well, that brings me to our next nightmare of a problem. On the day we were checking out we noticed a charge for $875 on our bill. When we inquired about it, they told us it was for a long distance call to Virginia that we never made. We don't even know anyone in Virginia. We were vacationing with our children... we were not on business. We had several business sounding messages every night when we returned. I think the phone lines got crossed somehow. Anyway, my husband informed the staff and they told us they would remove the charges. Two days later, the charges showed up on our visa statement anyway. Now, I have to go through the trouble of disputing these charges. Also, they charge you $10 per day for parking. This is a total rip off. It is not in the middle of a major city. It is a regular parking lot like you find at any hotel. I guess with being a 4 star hotel I was expecting too much. I would not have even considered this a three star!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 12 2008 Noisy! Though Hotel La Jolla is walking distance to La Jolla Shores, has a wonderful restaurant called Clays with a view of La Jolla, and has diligent cleaning staff, it's very noisy.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 18 2006 Great! Great! Great! It was the things we didn't expect that really impressed us. The terry cloth robes, the heated tile floors, and the well stocked fridge. The upstairs restaurant was excellent, and the view of La Jolla and the coastline was awesome!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 01 2006 We will go back! The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was within walking distance to the beach and the restaurant had great food for dinner.
