Back to Hotel Sofitel Lyon Bellecour Good Hotel; Great Location Currently on my fourth stay here. Nice hotel on the Rhone, strategically close to everything in the city, including Old City, restaurants, shops, and supermarket should you need one. Good service at front desk. Rooms are very clean (my "door and frame dust test" was always negative). Each room has comfortable desk, fast wired internet access, great comfortable beds (same class as Westin's or Marriott's). Minibar is re-stocked daily. TV has french (of course), german, and a few english channels.

The lobby was under renovation, but soon to be completed. The staff was attentive and available and the location was excellent.

Contributor from on Nov 25 2007 Chek it out if you can afford Although quite a bland looking hotel from the outside, it is superbly situated a few hundred yards form Place Bellecour, within walking distance of the beautiful center of Lyon. (and on the banks of the Rhone river). Breakfast on the 8th floor gives you a breathtaking view of the city center and although a bit pricey is one of the very best I've ever had (bravo to this 4 stars hotel).
