Awarded 2 stars and a Palme by the Tourist Office. In a small road linking with la place des Jacobins on the banks of the Saône this hotel is surrounded by pubs and nightclubs. The area can be a little noisy at the weekend but it is very popular nevertheless. As well as being a paradise for night owls there is nearby the peaceful Place des Celestins and a theater as well as the docks with their markets where fruit and salads are replaced by books in the afternoon. Take advantage of the opportunity and buy an old copy of Balzac and get a taste of the other side of the river in one of Vieux-Lyon's bars.
