Back to Checchino dal 1887 not to be missed this is a world class restaurant. the welcome, the service, and the ambiance put you in a perfect mood to enjoy something different. something wonderful. the food and wine surpass even the highest expectations.
Reviewed by: BrianO from on May 10 2008 Our worst meal in Rome, by far! Service was surly and unhelpful. But worse, I saw four plates being sent out from the kitchen, and then sent back by the person in charge. I wondered and worried, and sure enough, fifteen minutes later they were brought to our table, along with a fifth, newly prepared, for our party of five. The four were lukewarm, congealed and tough - not edible. No apologies. A subsequent request for an adjustment to the bill received no response. I was clear that there was an attitude that didn't rise to the level of indifference.
