Austin Trail, and Atmosphere
I love going for a run on the trail, If I'm lucky and feeling really good, I find myself wondering down to the Congress Bridge, I usually try to jog on Zilker trail as often as I can, why? Because I try to keep up with all those healty Joggers that fly down the trail, Just as I'm feeling old, someone fly's past me, with grey hair...go figure.

Very nice
This is where the Austin City Limits Music Festival is held each year. Three days, eight stages, and over one hundred bands...so Very nice. If you're just wanting to relax and see why ATX is considered one of the fittes cities, this is must visit for you. Nice trails for walking I'd leave the bike and Zilker Park is host to tons of other events throughout the year. A kite festival in the spring and a great place to bring the family during Christmas at night!!

Don't miss the Hartmann Prehistoric Garden!
All of the Botanical Garden is wonderful but just beyond the Rose Garden is the Hartmann Prehistoric Garden with a beautiful bronze of a dinosaur - I think it's an ornithomimus - caught in mid-stride. It's on an island surrounded by streams, and the whole garden is planted with ground cover, trees and shrubs of the types which can be traced back to prehistoric times through the fossil record. It's wonderful - and on Saturday mornings they mist the area which lends a mysterious, almost surreal atmosphere - fun to catch sight of the dinosaur through the mist! Makes great photos.

great and laid back
Perfect place to just sit back and enjoy the weather. Laid back atmosphere and nice people, usually with their family, but enough room to get away from people if you want.

what a way to relax
this place is beautiful! you can sit on the hillside and soak up some sun, and when you get too hot, just walk down and jump into the natural spring swimming pool that is always the same temperature year round. i went there with my husband on our first anniversary, and we had a lovely time. a perfect place to read a book, catch an afternoon nap, or just sit around and chat with friends. on the other side of the fence, you can bring your pets for a swim for free. how fun!

Let's Go Fly A Kite
We visited this beautiful park earlier this year when they had their annual "kite flying contest." It was a gorgeous day, and I have never seen so many unique kites and friendly people (gorgeous texan sky to boot as a back drop!). You really got a sense of a strong community there. It was a great day that left a lasting impression. Never wanted to leave!
