View from the balcony was great, service is bad
We had a room with a broken AC in the summer. So they could not do anything about it. We asked to change the room; it was really hard - they just avoided to talk to us. Finally we went down to the lobby with our luggage, after waiting for 20 mins, they finally gave up and gave us another room.

What an ANTI-climax!
En route to Antibes we started our holiday with an overnight stay in Nice. After much research online we decided that we would push the boat out for the first night and book into a really nice hotel. After browsing numerous sites, we agreed on the Boscolo Plaza, our decision based primarily on the interior pictures of the luxorious rooms and stunning views of Nice and the sea. We felt that the €300 room rate would be well worth it!

Wonderful view from small balcony!
We would recommend a sea view room if you can get one as these appear to be the best, a tad dearer however the view is fabulous! Overall the hotel was fine, our room on the 4th floor had 2 large windows, small balconies, was well furnished, not fussy!Good bathroom, separate toilet, plenty of wardrobe space, there were only 2 of us!Breakfast was included in our price, reasonable enough variety, plenty of breads, cold cuts and scrambled egg /bacon, fruits too. The staff kept the dishes well stocked, it would have been nice to have had toast though! Small elevators, wouldn't have known where the stairs were if I had to use them! Reception was fine, we only used them for booking in and out, typically French, courteous but not overly friendly. The terrace bar we used only once in the evening, fab view but expensive and badly lit at night, need to watch your footing. Great Location, close to the old town, new town, the promenade, the Albert Gardens at the front offer a little shade when it is too hot, plenty of people about, locals walking dogs, playing boules, the odd vagrant, but then you get this everywhere. We visited in August, the hotel was busy enough, rooms cleaned daily as would be expected, would be happy to recommend.

Nice place, helpful staff
Very clean, good breakfast, nice people. What else do you need from your base of operations for a tour of the Riviera.

worst experience
At first the hotel seems quite lovely and clean. It is in a great location. However the majority of staff were not friendly and never smiled, with a few exceptions such as the maids and a couple of bell-hops.There was no complimentary tea/coffee in the rooms like we had in Paris and London. We were put in our "first" room after a few hours the room began to stink like the sewer. I complained to the front desk and was told that they would send up a "technician". We went off sightseeing for the day, when we returned the room stank even worse and there was no evidence that a "technician" had been there. I complained again and was finally given another room of lesser quality but at least it didn't stink, at first. This room also began to stink so we complained again, we were told that the hotel was filled so they could not move us again. I talked to the manager and was told they would send someone up to our room. We sat on the floor in the hallway waiting for a half hour and
