The Cinedom - a cinematic experience of all technical refinement. For those who value digital sound and excellent picture quality, lounging in plush seats before a massive screen: this is the place. Unfortunately, this state-of-the-art facility almost never shows foreign films in the original language. The selection is gigantic, as are the crowds on the weekend. Pizza Hut is right next door but various snack bars within the cinema complex offer all imaginable drinks and snacks. It's possible to spend an entire evening here, and it's worth at least a stroll around to take in the fantastic decoration. The catch, of course, is that tickets are cheaper during the week.

Festivals of gay and lesbian film are held in other cities, but Cologne is known as one of the most open cities in Germany, and the weekend-long Verzaubert Festival is one of the most notable of its kind in the country. Films by, with or about gays and lesbians are shown, mainly in Cinedom at Nordstadt Köln. The themes are primarily love, sex and comedy, and there is something for everyone, even heteros! There is a busy schedule including many feature length and short films, as well as an opening and closing party.
