The dark blue walls and neon lit bar of the Blue Shell set the tone in what is a regular hang-out for the city's black-wearing, hip crowd. Located a few minutes walk from the studenty Zülpicher Straße and almost next door the Prime Club, this is where many end up after a concert, or when other bars are closing. With DJs changing nightly, one never quite knows what to expect from the music, other than that it is usually loud and often electronic. The kölsch beer is always fresh and cold, perhaps one of the best reasons why the Blue Shell recently celebrated its 20th year in business.
