Montreal's Formula One weekend is centered around the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Notre-Dame, with the St. Lawrence River and the Montreal skyline in the background. Jacques Villeneuve carries Canada's hopes for the checkered flag at the country's largest attended sporting event. Bars, restaurants and hotels are packed throughout the weekend with race fans from all over the world. Qualifying takes place Friday and Saturday (from 7a), while the race goes on till Sunday.
