In the past, Appalachian fiddlers and Native American dancers have been among the highlights of this popular annual event, held on the National Mall. The festival celebrates the cultural heritage of American and international communities. You are as likely to see crafts from Wisconsin as you are from South Africa. The event typically includes storytelling, dance, music, workshops and craft demonstrations, ranging from chair making to quilting. The events are free and include traditional food, games and exhibits. Admission is free, and the festival is held every summer around June/July.
